The latest buzz on Wizard Festival...

March 26th 2012

Wizard has decided to take a year off in 2012.

It’s been a tough decision but we think it’s the right one, as we will be taking time out to build on the past 5 successful years to move the festival on and take it to the next level for 2013.

Thanks to everyone that has supported the festival so far, and stay with us because we will be back in 2013 with another great festival for you all.

A brand new stage has been added to this year’s Wizard Festival, giving backing to a global appeal for eight billion more trees to be planted by people around the world. Scottish based musicians from the ‘Woodlands Roots’ orchestra will be bringing a fully equipped marquee with a stage to the festival this year to perform using a variety of acoustic and electric wood based instruments.

Henry Fosbrooke, one of the performers that will be at Wizard with the Woodland Roots collective said: “Making sure our forests are well cared for is everyone’s responsibility and we are keen to get the message out there that looking after our forest areas now will have a big impact for future generations.  Scotland is well known for its dramatic scenery and forests play a big part in that so it’s important that we maintain these spaces.  We are really looking forward to performing at Wizard and we are delighted that we can play our music to a whole new set of festival fans.”
